Solve from a screenshotTileSmith generates all legal plays from the current board and rack, then ranks them by total points.
Double-letter, triple-letter, double-word, and triple-word squares are factored into every move score.
Points from words created perpendicular to the main play are included in the final score for each move.
For each candidate play, TileSmith scores the main word, any cross words it creates, and the bonus squares covered by newly placed tiles. The score shown is the exact number of points that play would add to your total in a real game.
Bonus squares on tiles already placed on the board do not count again for a new play. The solver knows which tiles are fixed and which are newly placed, so the scoring is accurate.
Rather than asking you to enter the board manually, TileSmith reads a screenshot of your current game. The detected board appears as an editable grid so you can check for OCR errors before scoring. One corrected tile can change the top move, so the review step is worth taking.
Moves are listed from highest to lowest score. The top move is the strongest legal play TileSmith finds from the current position. It is worth scanning a few moves down the list — a slightly lower-scoring play can sometimes leave a better rack for the next turn.
