TileSmith is built around screenshot analysis. These notes explain the current product behaviour in plain language.

Open TileSmith

Screenshots

When you upload a screenshot, TileSmith sends it to the analysis backend so the board and rack can be read. By default, screenshots are processed for analysis and are not intentionally retained for later review.

Optional product improvement

If you choose the improvement checkbox before uploading, TileSmith may save the screenshot, initial OCR result, corrected board and rack state, selected dictionary, and move suggestions. This retained data is used to review OCR quality, create regression fixtures, and improve board reading.

Board and rack data

The board, rack, selected dictionary, and corrections are used to calculate move suggestions. Do not upload images that contain information you do not want processed by the service.

Accounts and payments

TileSmith does not currently offer public user accounts or paid credits. If those features are added, this page should be updated before launch.
